Dr A. T. Pierson once said, 'There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer.'

What Now?

I think it would be cool for people that went, if you wanted to talk about what happened in general, or tell about something special that happened to you, or just anything about the 24 hours. I think it went great. I just got home in fact, and I have that same feeling you get after getting back from church camp or conference or something like that. I don't even really know how to describe it past that, but it's good. If you have something to say post a comment, as opposed to emailing me,here so everyone can see it. Cool guys.

That is so ironic, Luke, that you said that you felt like you did after church camp because I was on the phone with my friend abby tonight and I said that I had "the week after Encounter" feeling. Encounter is the church camp I went to for like 4 years. But I thought the part of the prayer night that I stayed for was honestly awesome. It was the first time in a really long time that I had taken time out of my " busy" (which when I think about it is just my bad time organization) schedule to sit down and just do nothing and enjoy the quietness and peace that God gives. It was also a neat thing to pray with and meet a group of 9 people that I would not have had the chance to meet. The whole night was just awesome!

Ha yeah, that is ironic. I am glad you had such a good experience though. I certainly did. I think God taught me some new ways to pray and worship, and I am still kinda chewing on them, but I like it. Also, I finished your book last night (absolutely amazing) and will try to give it back to Lisa to give to you. Thanks Daysha!

Hey Luke, this is emilie. Sorry, i dont have an account thingy so i had to post it as anonymous. Well, i am really glad i went. It was AMAZING!! Worship was awesome. Me and my mom went and we were planning to stay till 7 because i had a freind (katelyn)comming over around 8. Well, we ended up staying until 8 anyways. We were just so overwhelmed in the music that neither of us looked to check what time it was. When i told Katelyn about it, she wanted to go so, we went back at 9 and she loved it. Like Daysha, said, it was the first time in a while that i actually took time out of my "busy" schedule to sit and listen to God in the silence.I hope to hear about another one comming up in the future, maybe for 2 days? :)

Way cool answers to prayer from the vigil:
A girl who's been in the far country for awhile made a big step toward God. Two Christians who have been enemies for months, reconciled. A kid had an epiphany in 5th hour when he realized he wasn't happy and nothing he'd done had made him happy. He thought about how his friend (who had gone to the vigil) was happy because of God. When he told her, she invited him to church camp.
Thank You, Jesus!

Wow, way cool Emilie, and it's interesting you say two days...

"Someone said that when we work, we work; but when we pray, God works. His supernatural strength is available to praying people who are convinced to the core of their beings that he can make a difference. Skeptics may argue answered prayers are only coincidences, but as an English archbishop once observed, "It's amazing how many coincidences occur when one begins to pray."
